James and Sherry met 30 years ago while in high school in a small Bavarian town in Germany named Augsburg. Augsburg was named after its founder, Augustus Caesar, and is over 2000 years old. James was living in Germany as a child of a missionary family and Sherry was there with her military family. After leaving Germany and returning to the US after graduating high school, James joined the Air Force and shortly after he and Sherry were married. The Air Force moved them to Alaska where they were stationed for almost 10 years. They had two boys while living in Alaska and enjoyed as much of the outdoor life they could while living there. Their adventures eventually brought them back to the lower 48 where they settled in the Hill Country and continued to raise their two boys. Throughout the years they have traveled the world and experienced many different cultures. They have a great love of trying new foods and drinks!!! They love to entertain guests and share with them their passion for cooking and baking. It is through these adventures that they have decided to open and host Blumen Haus Bed & Breakfast. They hope to make your stay a special and memorable experience.
